Earlier today, a little kid from Fort Collins, Colorado managed to pull on the heart string of America. Falcon Heene, apart of the bad ass Heene Brothers of Fort Collins, Colorado, tricked his parents and about 1000 policemen and safety officials by unleashing a weather balloon used for tracking tornadoes and other phenomenons while escaping to the attic to hide from his father (who only one can hope was about to lay into his ass with a belt)! When he was found hours later, he was remorseful and sad that all the brave people of Colorado and the world were trying to find a kid who was just otherwise hiding. His father cried, tears were shed by the family, and the Henne Family began the process of building love again!
While that is all good, there are several things that still bug me about this.
1) HEENE FAMILY ARE REALITY TV STARS
Mind you, if you're a big Wife Swap fan, you might be aware that the Heene Family were on the show twice (2) times and both times, they were an awful family. Which leads to point 2
2) HEENE BROTHERS ARE BAD ASSES
If you thought that Falcon Henne was the only Brother to deal with, you're wrong! There are 3 brothers that constantly raises hell on a daily basis. And the sad thing, they had the ordacity to try to show the world they were tough on YouTube with videos of themselves posing like bad asses!
Well, I'm hitting back hard! You say that you're not pussies, Heene Bros. Let's put that to the test.

No, Nas! Hip Hop Died A Long Time Ago!
Back in the early 1980s, hip hop was new and fresh and explored a lot of things that had not, at the time, been explored before in urban culture! However, a lot of critics felt that hip hop would suffer the same fate that fell on its predecessor Disco: Extinction.
Yet, more than 30 years has passed since the Sugar Hill Gang released that hit song that started it all "Rapper's Delight"...
...and what do we have to show for it....
Now, don't get me wrong. I'm all for Austic Kids making a run at rapping, but this is seriously getting out of hand! Hip hop isn't the same as it was when it first began. Instead of having songs that got people dancing or reflecting on the struggles of inner city living, I gotta deal with a white kid from a gated community outside Toronto thinking that just listening to 3 Jay-Z albums makes him suited to be the world's next rapper!
Oddly enough, a legit white musical internet sensatiton, Jon Lajoie (by the way, go look up some of his stuff on YouTube, hilarious!) broke down what the future of hip hop might end up being! I just love the detail he puts into it!
But folks, it wasn't always like this. A long time ago, the music was great! Even when you take a quick look back at the 90s, you could almost start seeing Hip Hop going through an almost college lesbian experiment before it could find it's true voice! Also, we got a quick glimpse of Eazy E before the AIDS got 'em!

Is Hip Hop dead? Probably so, but it's great just to see others attempt to try to bring it back! And while they try, we'll keep on laughing at even the silliest thing a rapper tries to do!
